K3b

K3b is a KDE-based versatile cd/dvd authoring tool. Most users see it only as a cd burner, but it can also rip audio-cd:s and video-dvd:s. And as a burner it is able – in addtion to data-cd and data-dvd to burn audio-cds and video-dvds. With K3b you can rip tracks from audio cd to mp3 files, and burn/convert mp3-files to normal audio cd. And it understands Bluray-disks and iso-images, also.

In addition to k3b package, you will need two packages for mp3 support: libk3b6-extracodecs and lame. If mp3-ripping does not work, install these packages.

Otherwise K3b is fairly easy to use. Most functions are self-explanatory. When running it first time, it has to set certain rights and link to auxiliary programs, but it should guide you by hand through this process. And you can always run k3b-setup again, if something seems to be not working.
