Ubuntu One gets bigger

Ubuntu One has increased the size of virtual disk space for Ubuntu One Free. While previously you had to cope with 2 GB, now you have 5GB to store your stuff. That should be more than enough for average users to store their files while on the go, or at home… or at work.

Considering that there are several quite similar services around the net, one may easily have more than 20 GB of virtual storage space. Although I would not use that to store any sensitive material, it still has its uses. Lets say you are on vacation and using actively the camera on your android phone. Suddenly the memory card is almost full of pictures and videos. Well, you can dump them on your virtual storage space. This way they are also safe, if something nasty happens to your mobile.

However I would not use it to store a file containing all the passwords to all electronic services I use. I am just too paranoid for that.
